October 14th 2009 - Digicel Announces Sponsorship Of Vanuatu Duck Race Against Cervical Cancer for all Ni-Vanuatu Women
Tuesday 13th October, Port Vila: Digicel, the fastest growing mobile operator in the Pacific, today announced its sponsorship of the Vanuatu Duck Race Against Cervical Cancer for all Ni-Vanuatu Women. This event takes place this Saturday 17th October at Le Meridien, Port Vila. Digicel has donated mobile phones for the raffle and a money donation.
The public is invited to attend from 11am onwards as this is when pre-race activities will commence.
At 1pm a Celebrity Ride Duck Race will take place, whereby a member of our staff will be riding a giant inflatable duck down the lagoon from Le Meridien competing against well-known business men in Port Vila.
The Great ANZ Duck Race starts at 2:00pm. Ducks will be racing in the first lagoon on the shores of Le Meridien Resort. They will have a surprise start followed by an exciting finish on the shores of the Le Meridien beach. These rubber ducks provide a colourful and fun focus for the event and have raised funds for many charities around the world.
