Congratulations go to the Digicel Vanuatu Women’s Beach Volleyball Team who successfully defeated Australia on Saturday at Stade Stadium. The team, comprising of Linline Matuatu and Miller Elwin won the game in a very commanding 2 straight sets, 21:13, 21:18.

The President of Vanuatu Volleyball Federation, Mrs. Debbie Masauvakalo thanked the fans that came out and supported the girls, who were lifted by the encouragement and enthusiasm of the crowd. After such a stellar performance, later in the evening the girls featured in the Splash fashion parade to promote and raise funds for their upcoming world tour starting in China this month.

The road to Olympic Qualification is about to begin with the team required to participate in a minimum of 12 events in Europe and Asia this year. Keep a lookout on the team’s website to follow their progress which will begin in Vanuatu with an Olympic Qualification sub zonal event in Vanuatu May, 19th- 21^st.
